- I-25 exit 15. Drive north along the frontage road on the east side of the freeway. Bear right onto CO-239, then an immediate left onto Freedom Rd to keep following the freeway. You'll soon see Art Cartopia on the right.

Billed itself as, "The greatest art car museum on Earth." Zany outgrowth of the town's annual art car parade, which was the world's second largest. Nearly 40 eye-grabbing and bizarre vehicles. Closed permanently on Aug 1, 2023.

Art Cartopia! So fun, and Amanda was incredibly friendly.
[CL, 08/09/2022]Art Cartopia is home to over 25 art cars and serves as a regional center of creativity and shenanigans. Trinidad has an annual art car parade, which is what generated the idea for this crazy museum. Some art cars are activist works, others are the result of collaborations, and still others are sculptures on wheels. Many are simply wacky ideas made with found objects and some good ol' fashioned elbow grease by "cartists" (car + artist, get it?).
