Next to the Indian is another Bernard Langlais sculpture. The area with the two sculptures is a micro outdoor sculpture garden -- worth a visit not just as a curiosity, but to see freestanding examples of work by a significant Maine and US artist.

B.F.I. (Wooden Indian)

Now I grew up in Skowhegan, Maine, and I believe that we've been calling our Wooden Indian the "BFI" for far longer than anyone in Freeport. No one actually lives in Freeport anyway, they just shop there.
