The World's Tallest (and skinniest) Indian towers over everything in downtown Skowhegan. Restored to his original appearance in Sept. 2014; a Feb. 2024 windstorm destroyed the Indian's left arm and part of his face.

Next to the Indian is another Bernard Langlais sculpture. The area with the two sculptures is a micro outdoor sculpture garden -- worth a visit not just as a curiosity, but to see freestanding examples of work by a significant Maine and US artist.
