The World's Tallest (and skinniest) Indian towers over everything in downtown Skowhegan. The Indian was falling apart after 45 years of Maine weather, but was restored to its original appearance in Sept. 2014.

Next to the Indian is another Bernard Langlais sculpture. The area with the two sculptures is a micro outdoor sculpture garden -- worth a visit not just as a curiosity, but to see freestanding examples of work by a significant Maine and US artist.
