World's Tallest Indian
The World's Tallest (and skinniest) Indian towers over everything in downtown Skowhegan. Restored to his original appearance in Sept. 2014, but a Feb. 2024 windstorm destroyed the Indian's left arm and part of his face.

World's Tallest Indian
Next to the Indian is another Bernard Langlais sculpture. The area with the two sculptures is a micro outdoor sculpture garden -- worth a visit not just as a curiosity, but to see freestanding examples of work by a significant Maine and US artist.
