Stop in and get the big grilled cheese sandwich, and a slice of amazing pie, after taking fun photos with the buffalo.

The three buffalo are in great condition. They face the highway. The earlier tip to go before noon is probably correct because we couldn't get a face shot of the largest buffalo. We didn't try Al's Oasis, but we should've since I think the art is theirs.

Good food, shopping, and of course a great photo op. Best visited before noon if you want the sun shining on the front of the buffalo for your picture.

I had never been out to South Dakota, so when I heard there was a giant buffalo statue, I had to stop. It is what you see. Still a great place to stretch your legs and get a famous snapshot.

As for the giant buffalo - there are actually three. Two are life size, and the third is double or triple the size of a real buffalo.

Al's buffalo is just impressive enough to pull off for a snapshot. But if ever in NORTH Dakota, check out the World's Largest Buffalo, which would scare Al's little snorter right off the prairie.
