Galena, Kansas: Boots of Frecs the Miner
Short for "Freckles." 19 feet tall, dressed as a miner, built out of pipe, canvas, chicken wire, and glue in 2019. Burned down in 2022; currently only his concrete boots remain.

- North edge of town, on the old alignment of Route 66. From downtown drive north on Main St. Turn right at the old gas station (Cars on the Route 66) onto Front St. Drive a quarter-mile. You'll see the boots of Frecs on the left, just before the bridge.
