POW-MIA-9/11 Memorial
A monster baby of a memorial, fusing large Vietnam M.I.A.'s with 9/11 firemen. "We Will Never Stop Looking." Burnt up in 2009. If only the firefighters had been real and not made of wood!

POW-MIA-9/11 Memorial
The POW-MIA-9/11 Memorial is no longer. We checked in October when visiting the nearby Muffler Man. We pulled up to the memorial (next to a Convenient Mart) and all we found was charred remains of the statues. We went in to the store to ask about what happened and the woman behind the counter immediately stated they did not own that part of land and that they knew nothing. It seemed as if she had been asked many times.

This has become overgrown and uncared for, and recently the firetruck that was there was sold for scrap! Still neat to see the large wooden men!

This Memorial has two sections. The first attempts to be a replica of the now-famous photograph of the firemen raising the flag at Ground Zero. There is a fire truck off to one side, and the firemen, as well as the flag pole, are crafted from tree trunks. The second section features two POWs in cages with a very large bald eagle holding a flag. There is a stone marker which reads "We will never stop looking."
The Memorial is next door to a Kosher Pizza parlor.
