Beacon Dummy Light

One of the last three dummy lights in the U.S. stands in-between Main and East Main Streets.

[Deb Nies, 08/02/2019]

Dummy Lights were early traffic lights (and crash hazards) mounted in the middle of intersections -- because that's where traffic cops used to stand. Beacon is very proud of this one, celebrating it on t-shirts, jewelry, paintings, etc.
