- Brick Church Cemetery. From Stockport drive north on OH-376, along the east bank of the Muskingum River, for two miles. On the left (river) side you'll see a historical marker and a small dirt road. It leads back to the cemetery. Hook's tomb is easily visible.

Found at the old Brick Church Cemetery is the unique tomb of Captain Isaac Newton Hook (1819-1906). Hook, a river pilot at age 10, later became U.S. Master of Inland Navigation, running supplies for the Union Army on the Tennessee and Cumberland River. Hook's eccentric beliefs are framed above his even more eccentric tomb.
