- From Washburn drive south on 6th St., toward the river. When you cross the train tracks, 6th St. turns into Boat Ramp Rd. Follow it down the hill and to the right, and you'll soon see the small parking area for the Ferry on the left.

The Sioux is located along the Missouri River at Washburn's Riverside Park. The Sioux Ferry was one of the last paddle-wheel ferries operating on the Missouri River. It was built by Oscar Anderson, took its maiden voyage on Memorial Day 1952, and operated until 1962.

The ferry could hold three cars. Its historical placard notes that the Hwy 200 bridge opened only three years after the ferry, taking away much of its business. The ferry was donated to Washburn for the U.S. Bicentennial in 1976.
