Squire Boone Caverns

Daniel Boone's baby brother discovered this cave and later settled here. His casket of bones are part of the cave tour. In the summer there is a village open with an active mill that still has Squire Boone's millstones.

Daniel and Squire discovered the caverns, but Squire had a special affinity for them. He died in 1815 and was interred there. His bones were found when the cave was being opened for tours. Squire not only has a casket in the cave, but a subterranean headstone.
