OSU-Newark. From OH-16 take the Country Club Drive exit north. Drive approximately one mile and turn east on University Drive. A parking fee is required M-F, but parking is free on the weekends. The sculptures are along the path that borders the pond in the center of the campus.

It's hard to determine if any of the sculptures are unique, or selected from a catalog of generic statues. The inspiring historical figures have no connection with Newark, Ohio.

Happy Dancing Animals Sculpture

On the campus of OSU-Newark there is a bronze sculpture of seven animals in a circle holding paws/flippers and dancing. "Circle Of Friends" was sculpted by Gary Price and features a penguin, bear, mother kangaroo with her baby, elephant, horse, turtle, and a beaver. In addition, there are other sculptures of famous historical figures on benches, perfect for sitting next to and taking a photo. They include Amelia Earhart, Shakespeare, The Wright Brothers, Ben Franklin, Abraham Lincoln, and Rembrandt.
