Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania: Giant Slide in the Woods (Gone)
Although "Mammoth Park" sounds like a theme park, it's just a regular, wooded park that happened to have a giant metal slide down a hillside. The fun old slide was replaced with two less fun new slides in 2019.
Mammoth Park
- Directions:
- Mammoth Park. From Mount Pleasant drive east on PA-31 for three miles. Turn left at the stoplight onto PA-932. Follow 982 north, through several twists and turns, for a little over five miles. Turn left onto County Park Rd at the brown Mammoth Park sign.

The original slide seen in this photo was 96 feet long. It was built in 1973, closed in 2018, and was rebuilt as a new slide in 2020.
