Mason, Wisconsin: Sandor's Ranch Park: Abandoned

Sandor's Ranch Park -- a kind of home-made Wild West town -- was built by Ed Sandor beginning in the early 1960s. He died in early 2019, but had kept it going until at least 2015.

Directions:
From the intersection of WI-118 and US-63, drive south on US-63 for one mile. Turn east at the red Ranch Park sign onto a dirt road. Drive about a half-mile until it ends at the shelter building. Private property. Do not enter if posted.

Aka the little red schoolhouse. This reminds me of the old Route 66 stops! Beautifully dilapidated. Must stop if this is your thing!

Ranch Park

Ranch Park was a roadside attraction that featured a trail with educational displays. It was abandoned due to trail flooding. The paths and displays remain in varied states of decay.
