Creedmoor, Texas: World's Largest Shovel
Towering shovel was built of recycled materials: the blade was once a dumpster, the handle a utility pole. Also, incidentally, the world's largest. 41 feet high, weighs 5,000 pounds. Sometime missing when it's at a local fair.

[VLong, 08/14/2023]It was there as of April 21, 2022. Still just as breathtaking as a large shovel can be. Convenient, right off of the highway. Several tourists were selfie-ing as we drove past.

[Rose, 04/06/2022]The shovel was certified as the largest by Guinness World Records, so it's unlikely to have been destroyed. It was built to be transportable, so it has probably been moved elsewhere.
The shovel is on the side of the road and easy accessible. You can see it from the highway. There's a Guinness World Records sign placed next to it.
