Towering shovel was built of recycled materials: the blade was once a dumpster, the handle a utility pole. Also, incidentally, the world's largest. 41 feet high, weighs 5,000 pounds. Sometime missing when it's at a local fair or parade.

The World's Largest Shovel literally "stands tall" at over 40 feet high, and weighs 5,000 pounds. It was designed and constructed by Chris Anderson from all recycled materials.
