We visited place on June 19, 2022. Unfortunately, Betty was not on display. From one of the employees it seems like she has been MIA for a while, and they didn't know when she was coming back.

Visited here Memorial Day weekend. Betty continues to be happy, sitting in her sleigh near where customers of the restaurant wait to get inside. Her story is on a sign taped to her chest. She does look like it might be time for her yearly vacuuming!
Picked up apple cinnamon donuts and apple cider and had a picnic outside. Very nice bakery area with great pies both fresh and frozen. If you come in the summer or fall they have amazing fields to pick many varieties of apples and peaches. Also pumpkins and corn maze at Halloween. Fun stop, great folks.

Made a trip here to check out the stuffed dog. Getting old and a little ragged -- losing fur.
Good food and cider available. Also bought a pie to go and was excellent. Just another little, out of the way place to see and eat at.
[Elaine, 07/27/2011]We visited Crane's restaurant and cider mill/bakery on 01-04-04. "Betty" was there, sitting quietly in a sleigh. We were told that Betty lived in Chicago and when she died in 1937 her owner had her preserved. The cashier there didn't have too much information other than that. She looked pretty good for being dead for 67 years. The pies were great, and the hot cider was good on the snowy day we visited. It was definitely worth a smile or two.
