Visited the Slug Bug Ranch on Nov. 16th. There were members of the Texas Route 66 Association at the site -- lovely folks, who told us the Slug Bug Ranch would be opening again. There is a guy who is putting in a house near the SB Ranch and he will be caretaker/store operator. They are planning to reopen the store, too. A few weeks ago, someone vandalized one of the Beetles. They were pulling the damaged Beetle from the lineup and adding a Super Beetle to the collection. They are also searching for a Beetle Bus to add to the ranch.

If you like Cadillac Ranch, this will put a grin on your face, too! You can pull off the road and drive right up to them. Also, there's an abandoned gas station with a sign and a couple of other outbuildings.
