An entire family of big bears, carved from granite, sit next to a lake. It's a popular spot for adults who feel the need to take pictures of themselves in front of large teddy bears.

- Lakeside Park. To get to the bears, park on Lakeside Drive just north of its intersection with Lexington Ave. Walk into the park, cross the pedestrian bridge across the lake, and you'll see Teddy Bears ahead.

These granite teddy bears were made by Jerry Williams. He also did the ones at Turtle Creek / SMU. His studio, Barre Sculpture Studio, is located in Barre, Vermont.

Williams carved the family of Teddy Bears in 2004. The big one is ten feet high. The rich couple who paid for the sculpture wanted the big bear to be 15 feet high, but Williams told them it would be impossible to lift; the ten-boot bear alone weighs 20 tons.
