Three-sided sign, each 50 feet long, designed by Wayne E. Heath in the 1950s and supposedly anchored to the roof of Winslow Felix's car dealership by aerospace engineers. Felix the Cat has been a cartoon character for over 100 years.

Although the Felix Chevrolet sign was built as a neon sign, and is still commonly referred to as neon, it was completely reconstructed with modern LED strips in 2012. A 2007 attempt to landmark the neon sign was halted by Los Angeles mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, and then Felix Chevrolet broke its promise to the community to preserve the neon, or donate it to a museum.
