- Evergreen Cemetery. Follow Prospect St. west until it ends at the cemetery. Enter, then turn right. Follow the cemetery road for about a hundred yards, and you'll see Sa Sa Na Loft's large obelisk on the right, off by itself.

Sa-sa-na Loft was crushed by a runaway freight train on February 17, 1852. Owego felt so bad that it buried her in a special spot in the town cemetery marked by a tall obelisk. It's supposedly the oldest white-sponsored grave tribute to an indigenous woman.

I attempted visiting in February 2022 and the cemetery was closed. I'm unsure if this is permanent or just for the season, as it is on a pretty big hill.
