Over a 100 years of Flexible Flyer sleds are on display. A man collected them, and when he passed away he left his collection to the public library, where the sleds are on permanent display! This is free to see and it is very interesting to learn the history of how it all began: from farm equipment to a sled?

Samuel Leeds Allen of Moorestown invented the Flexible Flyer sled in 1889 to give his farm equipment employees something to build and sell in the winter (The sleds were tested on Moorestown's Stokes Hill). This collection has been displayed in the Library since 2015. The man who collected them, Philip Snow, is still alive and still curates the collection.
