Architect Addison Mizner built Palm Beach, then lost his fortune developing Boca Raton. His statue -- difficult to see on its lofty perch -- includes his animal pal, "Johnnie the Human Monkey," perched on his shoulder.

It's on top of a clock tower, and hard to see the monkey even when you finally spot the man! I can't figure out what is in his other hand, unless it's his architect's pencil. Had to cross the street to get a photo. No information about him at the site. The monkey's gravestone is in Palm Beach.
