- Jamestown Cemetery. From town drive south about a half-mile on CA-49/Golden Chain Hwy. You'll see the graveyard on the left. Turn left (no stoplight) onto Woods Way, then left again into the cemetery. The grave is near the middle of the uphill side of the cemetery.

Leanna Charity Donner was 12 in 1847 when her group of traveling pioneers was trapped by a blizzard and ate the dead to survive. She died in 1930.

Leanna Donner was not the last survivor of the Donner Party. Isabella Breen was. Leanna died in 1930, Isabella in 1935. However, Isabella was only a baby during the ordeal and had no memory of it. Leanna was likely the last survivor who remembered it.
