Stopped by the Perry Como Statue on our way to Meadowcroft Rock Shelter one day. It's in front if city hall. No Bobby Vinton statue, although he's from Canonsburg too (Kurt Angle the Olympic wrestler turned WWE wrestler too?!). Not much to do but take a picture.
Check out Sarris Candy, and there's a bunch of antique stores around town, including a great mid-century modern one downtown. I guess that's why they're trying to call it "The City of Antiques."
[Paul, 03/16/2010]This town wants to make itself a destination city for Perry Como fans. People might have come for miles around just to see Perry Como's hometown. They didn't get far, but they do have a cool statue. Also ask a local about Sarri's for a delightful candy store (and great hot fudge sundaes).
