Norway, Maine: World Traveler Signpost (Gone)

Classic sign photo-op, where it was only 88 miles to Moscow and 64 miles to Rome -- in Maine. Nine different Maine towns-with-country-names listed. Knocked down, gone.

Directions:: Outside the Lake Store. Across from Pennesseewassee Lake, on the south side of ME-118/Waterford Rd, just west of its intersection with ME-117/Harrison Rd. The sign is difficult to see driving west, but easy to see driving east.
Hours:: July 2020: Reported knocked down.
Status:: Gone

World Traveler Signpost

The signpost is no more! Couldn't find it so went into the Lake Store for directions. The lady pointed to a post broken off about a foot above the ground at the front of the parking lot. "I came to work one morning and it was gone." Looks like someone backed into it, broke it off. Nothing left of it, and she said she knows of no plans to rebuild it.
