San Antonio, Texas: Tom Slick's Nessie
Tom Slick was the rich son of a Texas oil baron. He traveled the world looking for aliens and monsters. The park named for him features a Nessie monster statue in its quarry pond that comes and goes as the water level rises and falls.

- Tom Slick Community Park. West side of the city. From TX-151/Raymond Stotzer Fwy exit onto TX-16. Drive to the south side access road, then follow it east a half-mile. You'll see the Park entrance on the right. Park in the lot, then follow the paved path back to the flooded quarry and Nessie.

Easy walk on paved path. Very neat park, with dog park.
