A half-mile east of town, on the north side of Young St./Wilson Burt Rd. Look for the historical marker. If you drive fast, you'll miss it, but it's easier to see driving back west.

Historical marker and rock with a plaque mark the grave of Billy Sherman, a Confederate war horse captured and brought to Wilson. Billy died in 1889.

You can pull over on the side of the road and hop out. The road also isn't terribly busy, so it's relatively safe to stop and turn around if you go by it.
