Greenwood, Mississippi: Robert Johnson's Grave
The grandfather of rock 'n' roll died in 1938. Historical marker out front only claims that "he is thought to be buried in this graveyard," but he has his own modern tombstone. Visitors leave everything from flowers to whiskey bottles.

Pull into the gravel driveway. The headstone is back to your left, in the back close to the woods.

One of the sites said to be Robert Johnson grave. I met Sylvester Hoover at the gravesite. He gives tours of the Delta Legends and is a good authority of this being the correct gravesite.
