Dick and Rick Hoyt, famous father-son marathon duo, completed 30 Boston Marathons together. A life-size bonze statue was unveiled in 2013, facing the Marathon starting line.

Hopkinton is the location of the start of the Boston Marathon. The statue is in front of Center School. There's a nice, shady park across the street from it. The starting line is on the next corner. There's a statue also of the starter of the race.
