- Bert T Combs Mountain Pkwy exit 33. Turn north onto KY-11, then quickly west on KY-15. Drive 1.5 miles. Turn right onto KY-77/Nada Tunnel Rd. Drive two miles to the tunnel.

Drive-thru thrill 13 feet high, only 12 feet wide, 900 feet long, and very dark. Excavated 1910-11. Traffic lights at both ends help prevent sad, head-on encounters.

What an exciting marvel of human fortitude. One can only imagine what the people who gave so much to complete this project would think if they knew people are enjoying it in 2021. The shortest walk (.6 miles ) from a parking lot is from the east entrance. It's nearly a whole mile from the west entrance to the parking lot.

Super cool tunnel. But don't be thinking there is a traffic light as described. No light. You have to read the signs and watch for lights in the tunnel. One way traffic at a time.
