Built in 1863, was said to be the only remaining covered bridge in Illinois that you can still drive through.

- From downtown Princeton drive north on Main St./IL-26 for about three miles. Turn left at the Historic Red Covered Bridge sign onto County Rd 1990 E. Drive a half-mile to the bridge.

The bridge seems to have undergone repairs, because there isn't any visible damage. It looks great! Interesting side observation -- there are hundreds of ladybugs climbing the exterior of the bridge. Very delightful. And only bring 12 of your mules. Not 13.
