Over 100 jump ropes of many colors gently swing from the branches of a tree just east of Preston. Many people come by and add their own jump ropes to the tree. The Jump Rope Tree was started by fans of the Hulu Hoop Tree in nearby Amber, Iowa, after it was removed due to safety concerns.
