When Baba was diagnosed with cancer and was going through treatment, her daughter put out a call to turn one of her trees into a Shoe Tree, because Baba had always wanted a shoe tree. Well, her community didn't disappoint, and Baba got her wish. That was many years ago, and Baba since passed and her house sold, so all the shoes went into a box and the tree in Scarborough was cut down by the city. In honor of Baba, who was the nicest, fun-crazy lady anyone ever met, her community helped us make a new tree for her here in Osaca. We love how people add shoes to it and take pictures all the time. Bring your old shoes to leave!
