- Minuteman Missile National Historic Site. I-90 exit 116. Drive west on 239th St., which bends south and becomes 195th Ave. You'll quickly see a fenced lot and parking area on the right.

- W-Su 9-3. Closed M-Tu. Local health policies may affect hours and access.

Surrounded by a fence on an empty prairie, the former Delta-09 Minuteman missile silo now sports a glass hatch, and you can peer down into it and see a missile.

It was closed and gated up when we were there on 5/17. Gates going into the lot and around the silo were locked. No signage anywhere. Looked deserted for a while with weeds growing everywhere.

The site is part of the Minuteman Missile National Historic Site and is still open. May 17 was a Tuesday. The silo site is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
