2-cell jail.

Small Roadside Jail

This tiny two-cell jail is on the side of Colorado State Road 389. The information sign at the jail says that it was rarely used after being built nearly 100 years ago. Eventually the town added picnic tables and an encircling fence to make it a community park.

[Todd Roberts, 06/10/2020]

It may be the world's wimpiest jail. According to its sign, it was mostly used as a play area for kids. Only two men were ever locked up -- they were drunk -- and "their wives set them free by chopping the lock off the door."
