Whispering Bench
It is a little bit off the beaten path from the highway -- but you're rewarded with a beautiful drive through an arboretum to get there. Many different tree varieties -- an idyllic park. The Whispering Bench really does work!

This "whispering bench" is located near the J. Sterling Morton memorial in Arbor Lodge State Park. Morton is the founder of Arbor Day. The bench is a large semi-circle. One person sits at each end of the bench. Lean over and whisper into the back of the bench and the person on the other end can hear you plain as day! Very cool ... fun for adults as well as kids.
