Two helicopters flank the entrance to the former Fort, currently an industrial park. Although shaded, their plastic bubble canopies have hopelessly hazed in the Texas sun. Just inside the arched entrance is a monument to Southern Airways, which oversaw helicopter training until the Fort closed in 1973.
