Boyhood Home of Levon Helm

The boyhood home of Levon Helm, one of the founding members of The Band, has been moved about four miles from its original location in Turkey Scratch to the northeast corner of Elm Street and Carruth Avenue in Marvell. Other old buildings have been moved here.

Levon Helm (1940-2012) played at Woodstock and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He received nearly all of his formal schooling in Marvell.
