Unveiled in early 2020, built by John Henns, painted an ominous all-black. Right next to the road. Possibly frightens arachnophobics in passing cars.

A quick easy stop on our trip around Mount Dora. The Spider is a very interesting sculpture right beside the road.

This sculpture is based on the shell of an old VW Beetle, standing high in the air on eight arachnoid legs. We drove out to see the Starry Night House in Mount Dora, and passed this thing. Way cooler than the Starry Night house. It seems to be a fairly recent creation.
