"Artisticat the Fairview Wildcat" stands on the southeast corner of Fairview Elementary. Designed by students and built by local artist Joe LaMantia, it's made of parts from the original school building: the eyes are lights from the old entry area, the nose is from the door to the coal room, and the mouth is cut from the fire escape slide.
Local college kids have a different name for this sculpture: "Bl**job Cat."
