Upstairs is a museum that you may visit for a small fee and is left from the set of the Johnny Depp movie "Public Enemies." Downstairs they will show you the room with bullet holes in the wall and window.
The entry foyer has some news clippings and photos from Dillinger's escape and from the movie. Food there is great too!

Historic lodge was the site of John Dillinger's shootout with the FBI and now the scene of Universal Studios epic Public Enemies starring Johnny Depp, Awesome food, incredible atmosphere, you have to spend a night at the Lodge!
[john smith, 05/29/2009]This is the site where John Dillinger and his gang were holed up as the FBI raided them. Obviously they had escaped but during the shootout they left behind bullet holes and clothes that are still visible today. It is open to the public and is currently a restaurant and Dillinger exhibit.
[Joe Corbine, 05/07/2006]A restaurant here in the Northwoods was the scene of a gun battle led by the young FBI agent Melvin Purvis in an effort to capture John Dillinger. Dillinger escaped by running along the shoreline of the lake on which the restaurant is located. They preserved the bullet holes in the paneling and the windows, and have a display of some memorabilia.
