Cleveland, Ohio: Grave of Harvey Pekar
Underground comix writer Harvey Pekar was famous for his autobiographical comic book series, "American Splendor," which was later made into a movie. His grave is decorated with dozens of colorful pens left by fans.

- Lake View Cemetery. Enter on the east side of Euclid Ave. just north of E. 123rd St. Drive through the gate, then locate the Wade Chapel and walk down the path to the right. The big grave rock of Eliot Ness is under the first tree on the right side of the road. Pekar's is directly to the right of that. You'll see dozens of colorful pens stuck in the ground in front of his gravestone.

Lake View Cemetery is the location of the grave of famous underground comics author and Cleveland native, Harvey Pekar. In addition to his comic "American Splendor," Pekar made many appearances on Late Night with David Letterman in the 1980s and co-starred in the movie of his life (American Splendor) alongside Paul Giamatti.
