The public is welcome to climb to the top of an old fire lookout tower and gaze at the treetops in Nicolet National Forest.

From WI-32/64 in Mountain turn east onto Hwy W then instantly turn left onto National Forest Rd 2106. Drive 2.5 miles. Turn right onto Mountain Tower Rd. Drive to the Tower.

Mountain Fire Lookout Tower

Tucked away in the Nicolet National Forest in Mountain, Wisconsin, is this massively high tower. It will allow you to see the most spectacular view. That is, if you make it to the top.

The tower was built in 1935 and used to spot fires until 1970. It's one of the few remaining fire towers that the public is allowed to climb.
