We came by right before dark and the park was pretty empty. We made our way to the locks and saw several deer. It is a very interesting story behind these locks.

The Inglis Lock was built in the 1960s as part of the Cross Florida Barge Canal, which was dug from 1935 to 1971 before conservationists shut it down.
