Van Halen in Cement
In 1976, Eddie Van Halen and his brother Alex wrote "Van Halen" in cement on a curb, around the corner from their childhood home in Pasadena -- still here 44 years later. Evidently they referred to the liquor store right next to this spot as "Van Halen Headquarters."
This week, the sidewalk landmark is a mourning destination for fans.
