Marion's most famous monument is the tomb of President Warren Harding, which looks like a Greek temple. But there's something just south of the tomb in land belonging to a nearby cemetery and it is almost as impressive. It is the grave of businessman Martin Kaufman, who had been living in Florida when he died in 2019. He designed his tomb to look like a pyramid. It's not as big as the Egyptian pyramids, but it is about the size of a small house. I couldn't find out anything about why he chose this design, but his obituary said he was a world traveler, so maybe he had been to Egypt and liked the pyramids. I asked some townspeople about it and they said a lot of people think it is very ostentatious, yet others think it is very cool.
