Bronze statue of country music star Loretta Lynn, unveiled outside Ryman Auditorium in Oct. 2020. Sixty years earlier she and her husband slept in their car at the same spot, waiting for her chance to appear on the Grand Ole Opry.

The Coal Miner's daughter is a queen here in Music City. Now the mother church, the Ryman Auditorium, has added her to its Icon Walk, located up against the building on the north side. Father of Bluegrass, Bill Monroe, is honored next to Loretta. Nicely landscaped area makes it a great photo op.
