Sucker Sign

Welcome to Wetumka, "Home of Sucker Day." The town started a celebration when they discovered they had been conned for a circus coming to town, after they had prepared with food, cleaning, and hotel rooms. Instead of being mad, the town turned into a festive party in 1950.

[Patsy Lewis, 11/18/2020]

Sucker Day is celebrated on the last Saturday in September.
