Small wood chapel built in the early 1850s for farmer's daughter's wedding. Now part of the county fairgrounds.

Directions:
I-90 exit 175. Drive east on MN-105/Oakland Ave. for 1.5 miles. Bear right onto MN-105/12th St. SW. Drive one-third of a mile. You'll see the tiny church on the right, just inside the Fairgrounds, which is sometimes gated.

Sometimes gated. Open during fair week in August or by appt. (Call to verify) Local health policies may affect hours and access.

Tiny Church: Kehret Roadside Chapel

This small chapel is actually one of a trio of chapels moved to this site by the local historical society. Other items of note include fountains, an old schoolhouse, and a military tank. Everything has informational signs explaining its significance to the history of the area.

Kehret Roadside Chapel

Small wood chapel was built in the early 1850s for farmer's daughter's wedding. A number of weddings have taken place at the chapel in its long history. The chapel was donated to the Mower County Historical Society, which had it moved to the fairgrounds in town. it's on private property, but open to public. Major restorations undertaken.
