Party Cat

I think this is gone. We just searched all over for it.

[Kitty, 08/24/2021]

The hipster owners sold the property -- claiming that the desert had become too crowded -- and moved the 43-ton "Party God" cat statue to somewhere in Los Angeles.

Party Cat

This statue is made from three solid pieces of marble. It sits alone on a barren piece of land a little outside the main entrance to Joshua Tree National park.

[William Harrell, 12/05/2020]

Officially titled "Party God," the statue was carved in 2015 for the Coachella Festival. After the statue's brief moment of celebrity it was moved here, and likely will stay here since it weighs 49 tons.
