The tree is estimated to have been growing since around the time Columbus arrived much further south. It's the Mother of the Canadian Maple Leaf.

- Directions:
- North of town. From Hwy 20 turn north onto Balfour St. Drive until it ends, then turn right onto Metler Rd. Drive past the houses on the right. Just past the one with the green mailbox, turn right onto what looks like a driveway. It leads to the tree.
